Using seismic sections and outcrop examples from NE South America Dr. Carlos Giraldo will discuss how to describe regional and local tectonic processes that impact the analysis of petroleum system elements. He will explain how geologic events and stress regimes recorded in sedimentary rocks are associated to Geodynamic setting and the importance of validating geological cross-sections when documenting evolution of sedimentary basins.
