Ronald Oribio is Technical Director at ENTRA Group with more than 35 years of international experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. His expertise spans integrated asset management, reservoir characterization, field reactivation, joint ventures, and digital transformation. Having held leadership roles at PDVSA, BP, Halliburton, and POES International, he brings a unique combination of technical, commercial, and strategic expertise.

Ronald Oribio currently serves as Technical Director at ENTRA Group, where he also advises international companies on market entry, asset selection, and partner strategy in Venezuela. Before joining ENTRA, he was Managing Director of POES International, where he focused on the Venezuelan market and led the reactivation of a major oil field in the Orinoco Belt. Prior to that, he held six progressive leadership roles at Halliburton across Latin America, including regional and country management positions, and served in multiple leadership roles at BP Venezuela, including Joint Ventures Manager and Technology Group Manager. He began his career at PDVSA, where he gained foundational experience through various technical and managerial geology roles over a decade.

Mr. Oribio holds a B.S. in Engineering Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, an M.Sc. in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Texas at Austin, and a postgraduate certificate in Artificial Intelligence for Leaders, also from UT Austin, completed in February 2026. His extensive experience in the oil and gas industry spans integrated asset management, field reactivation, reservoir characterization, well interventions, and enhanced oil recovery. He also brings significant expertise in joint venture management, international oil agreements, and technology alliance development. Building on this foundation, he recently launched an AI adoption and digital transformation advisory practice within ENTRA Group.
