I have a degree in Geodesy and an MSc. in Geophysics. I have more than 50 years of experience performing and managing projects in the area of Cartography and cadaster here in Venezuela. Some of the projects I have managed: oil industry's geodetic network using inertial technology, airborne Radar mapping in South Venezuela, geodetic network in large cartographic projects, several hydrographic studies, all related field studies for power electrical submarine cables, I do also have experience in performing and coordinating geophysical projects in shallow water environments.

I am a Venezuelan engineer graduated back in1969, I hold a university degree in Geodesy. In 1973 obtained a MSc degree in Geophysics from the Imperial College, London. I have managing and administration studies from IESA, a Venezuelan prestigious financial institution. I have also attended specialized studies at the University of Kansas, Ohio State University and at the University on Nottingham.


I have 25 years of field experience in solving problems related to topographical surveying, positioning, geodetic networks, project planning and budgeting, administration, shallow water geophysics, hydrographic studies, offshore positioning, aerial photogrammetry, GIS, digital cartography, cadastral projects, inter-ferommetric studies, etc. For the last 20 years I have been dealing with projects administration, projects marketing, budgeting, company management, etc.


Today, I am the President - Director and Manager of Cartografica Mercator, anda Director of Oceanografica Mercator, both very specialized venezuelan companies.
